About Summers Podiatry

Summers Podiatry was founded with a simple aim: to create a space where patients feel listened to, cared for and confident in the treatment they receive.

While the clinic is new, the knowledge, skill and dedication behind it are built on many years of hands-on clinical practice and a genuine passion for helping people staying confortable, active and pain free.

Louise Summers

Louise Summers is the founder of Summers Podiatry, bringing together years of NHS experience across Scotland and Northern Ireland with a genuine passion for helping people stay active and pain-free.

Her journey into podiatry began after more than a decade working as a nursing assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care while studying Criminology and Psychology—an interest she still holds today and which influences her holistic, understanding approach to treatment.

With a lifelong background in sport, including football at county and international level, and completing endurance events such as the Belfast Marathon and multiple half marathons, Louise understands first-hand the demands placed on the body.

She has a particular passion for running and gait analysis, and is currently researching a specialised programme designed to support runners through tailored assessments, injury prevention, and performance-focused care. This is a service that Summers Podiatry hopes to offer soon.

Louise is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry and is a an HCPC registered podiatrist (registration CH34890).
